Mustafa is a co-founder of Celestia and CEO of Celestia Labs. Celestia is a modular consensus and data availability network, built to enable developers to easily deploy rollup chains with minimal overhead. Previously, Mustafa was a PhD researcher at University College London, where he completed his thesis on layer 1 scaling. He co-founded Chainspace, a blockchain sharding protocol whose team was acquired by Facebook in 2019.
